Melanie Manson of St F Hospice accepts cheque from Tavcors Garrick Bowker
Eight years on with CBD …
On Monday and Tuesday of this week, I was the guest of the Pickels Family of Addo – Chris and Terri and David. Thanks to you all (and to David Fitzhenry and Chn) for a wonderful treat.
Accommodation was at their Chrislin African Lodge (http://www.chrislin.co.za) and Crisscross Adventures (http://www.crisscrossadventures.co.za) kept me busy canoeing down the Sundays River and quadbiking throught the citrus orchards of the Sundays River Valley.
Monday evening, a windstill end to Spring Day 2014, saw us braaing at Chris and Terri’s quaint farm home. A fitting African end to the most unbelievable Addo hospitality!
It was a great recharge for my batteries – nature at its best: tranquility and paradise!
Just three quarters of an hour outside Port Elizabeth, this is definitely a place to relax and also to use as a stepping stone to Addo Elephant Park.
Every picture tells a story – so rather than write more which is becoming difficult for me now, I invite you to look at the pics:
